Cooper is such a special little person to us! It is hard to describe the love I have for that little boy. I always knew when my sisters had children that I would love them so much but when Cooper was born the love I experienced for him was so much bigger than anything I had ever imagined. I can't even begin to describe what he means to me. He is such a sweet little boy and has the best personality! When Britney was pregnant with Cooper, Chad told us he just wanted Cooper to be funny and for people to like him. Well I think Chad hit coopers personality right on. He is always doing such cute and funny things.

I am so excited for the relationship that Keegan and Cooper are going to have. Cooper is only a little boy but he has so much love for Keegan! Every time they come in town and he sees her for the first time he gets so excited and wants to crawl in her car seat with her and give her a kiss. He is always wanting to lay on the floor beside her, kiss he, or touch her or pat her (sometimes poke her but its all in love). I can't wait for them to grow up together and be able to play and have fun together. Cooper doesn't say a whole lot of words yet (This does not mean he doesn't talk, we just don't know what he says most of the time) but one very special word he does say is "Kee" this is what he calls Keegan. I think it is such a sweet thing that one of the few words he says is her name..

Britney Chad and Cooper live 3 hours away and it kills me to be that far away from them. We usually get to see them about every 2 weeks (I know some people are probably thinking that is often but in the wells family 2 weeks is along time). We love spending time together and I wish they lived closer. God has blessed us with such a wonderful family!

Laughing Baby

This past week seems to have been busy for us. Adam and I normally don't do much on the weekends anymore besides hang out with our families but last weekend we went out to eat with some friends who were in Adam's senior design group at UTA. We all had a great time at the twisted root (a great hamburger place in Richardson) catching up and visiting. Keegan was great that night! She just slept and enjoyed all of the sights to see in the restaurant.

On Wednesday My great friend Robin came over for a "play date" (her daughter Adalyn is 3 months older that Keegan so they don't really "Play" yet, our get togethers are more for her and I to socialize). Robin and I both decided that we are going to start getting together once a week. I have really enjoyed spending time with her and Adalyn. They are definitely special people in our lives. Here are some pictures from our play date a few weeks ago.

When we laid them down on the blanket to take their picture Robin was concerned that Adalyn would try to grab or roll over on Keegan.. When we looked down Keegan was the one doing the grabbing.

but Adalyn got her back.. ;)

Aren't they just too cute!

This Saturday night we went and ate dinner with Adam's Co Workers. We all had a lot of fun. It was good to finally get to put faces with names that Adam always talks about. Keegan was good but I had to eat most of my dinner standing up and bouncing her because it got to be her bedtime and she was sleepy. After she finally relaxed and went to sleep she was an angel! ;) Everyone enjoyed holding her and passing her around!

Keegan has started to laugh.. It is the cutest thing Adam and I have ever seen! I swear every time she smiles my heart just melts. I feel like There is such a big gap of information that I didn’t blog about. Instead of trying to blog about everything (Keegan’s Nursery, her birth, the holidays) and catch up all at once, I think I will blog about the things I missed when time permits. So It may be summer before I end up doing a Christmas post but hopefully I will get around to it.

Keegan is doing wonderful. She is almost 11 weeks old now and amazes Adam and I every day with how much she is growing and changing. Having Keegan has for sure changed our lives. Everyone tells you when you are pregnant how much your life is going to change when you have the baby but until they are here you have no idea. It is an indescribable change that we wouldn’t trade for anything.. Keegan has brought so much love and joy to our lives every day I am in awe at what a beautiful gift God has entrusted to Adam and I.

She just started sleeping through the night about two weeks ago when she was 2 months old. (The pediatrician told me 12 lbs. was the magical weight babies usually hit and then start sleeping, sure enough it was the magic weight for Keegan). We just started putting her to be at 8:oo and she wakes up around 7:00. (We were putting her to bed at 10:00 when we usually go to bed but we decided to try an earlier bed time for her so we could have some time to get things done in the evenings..It is working great so far!) She doesn’t have much of a routine yet besides a bed time and I kind of like that. I want her to be flexible so we can go and do things and not have to worry about being home at an exact time for a nap. She is definitely keeping me busy and I love spending every day with her!

Here are a few Pictures of our cutie..

<img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; with my family. The weather was wonderful, I think we all miss the 40 degree mornings and 70 degree afternoons. We did lots of fun things while we were like horse back riding, fishing, four wheeling, and segways. (I only participated in the segways and fishing) All in all it was a great relaxing week with family!

The baby's room is coming along great! We now have it painted, the chandelier hung, and crown molding up. Our furniture hasn't come in yet but should be here very soon. I am hoping we can get the baseboards put up before it comes in. We are getting very excited about the nursery as it comes together!

We have a doctors appointment on Friday and we are taking a baby care/ Baby CPR class all day on Saturday. I love going to the doctor- I know it isn't very eventful but I always feel good after we leave knowing that everything is going as it is suppose to. I am also excited about the baby class I think it will be good for Adam and I. Everything seems to be going great with the baby so far. I can feel her moving all the time now, especially at night. Adam laughs that I have an alien growing inside of me because at night you can see my whole belly moving around.

Here is a picture of me at 26 weeks

Here are a few other pictures to update you on our summer:

Circus

Blair and I at Paint 'n Party

Ramblings

So not a lot has been going on around here lately..I am 23 weeks now..As most of you know Adam and I went to the doctor about 3 weeks ago and found out that we are going to be having a baby GIRL!! We are both very excited. We kind of expected that we were having a girl because at our 12 week ultrasound the doctor said he thought it was a girl..But now its official! Her name is going to been Keegan Nicole. We struggled picking a middle name~ We considered Estelle or Gail which are Britney and Blair's middle names. They are also family names but after a suggestion from Blair we decided that Nicole- my middle name would be a good fit (I am not named after any one so now Keegan can share my name).

We have slowly started on her nursery..My mom and I went and bought all of the fabrics so that my Nonie can make the bedding, curtains, and accessories. Adam has painted the ceiling and we ripped out the base boards and the closet doors. Our house was built in the 70's so we are trying to gradually update it room by room. Therefore we are putting down new base boards to match the ones we put in the living room, dining room and down the hallway. We also have plans to install new closet doors and a new built in bookshelf as well as paint. As you can tell we have our work cut out for us but I can't wait to see the finished product! Here is a picture of the fabrics we picked out for the nursery

Like I said in my first post..I am not good at this whole blogging thing.

Adam and I have definitely been busy lately. Since my last post we have gotten through my first trimester of pregnancy, celebrated our first anniversary, and became a single income family.

I know Adam was just as excited as I was to get through the first trimester..I am currently 17 weeks and no longer experiencing any type of nausea..Thank Goodness! I also have so much more energy than I did at the beginning. I think one of the hardest things for me now is coming to reality with the fact that I am gaining weight and going to continue gaining weight. I have gained a total of 7.5 lbs as of my last appointment 2 weeks ago. Don't get me wrong I know this is a good thing it is just weird to see and feel your body getting bigger. We go back to the Doctor on June 23rd to find out the sex of the baby! We are so excited to know for sure what it is and I can't wait to start planning its nursery! Here are a few pictures of my baby bump so far!

The week we found out I was pregnant!

13 weeks

17 Weeks

Our First anniversary was the weekend before last. We ate at all of the restaurants there, went to the outlets in San Marcos, shopped in the cute boutique stores, and floated down the river.

On our way to Gruene we came across a Coleman factory store that was having a tent sale. Adam thought he was in heaven!

Here is Adam with all of the stuff he found that he just couldn't live with out!

Us with the top of our cake..

On our wedding night they sent huge pieces of cake to the hotel with us but forgot to send us forks so just bit right into the cake..so we decided to do the same on our anniversary!

Adam thought it would be funny since we didn't smash cake on each others face at our wedding to do it on our anniversary..

Adam and I had decided before we even got married that when we had a baby, if we could afford it, I would be a stay at home mom. After we got married we then decided that due to the stress of my job I would quit when we found out I was pregnant, instead of waiting on the baby to get here first. So we did just that, my last day of work was last Friday. It was a bitter sweet good bye at Corgan. Although it was stressful and unpleasant at times I will miss many of the people who I am so used to getting to see every day! However my first week of being a "House Wife" has been wonderful so far. I have met my mom for lunch twice, cleaned the whole house, finished all the laundry, cooked, baked cookies, got the windshield replaced in my car, gone to the bank..and much more. I know all of these things sound so petty but these are all just a few of the things that stressed me out while working. I never had time to go to the bank or clean during the week. By the time I got home from work it was 6:00 or 6:30 and after Adam and I ate dinner we were exhausted. I am loving having the day to complete chores and run errands and being able to spend time with Adam and night without having to worry about all the things we need to do!

Big News!

Ok, So obviously I am horrible at Blogging..Adam and I have gotten all moved into our new house. It was definitely more of a challenge than we expected. When we found our house one of the things we loved about it was it was "Move in ready" we said we wouldn't have to do anything to it before we moved in...But if you know me you know I like to get things done and want them finished. So we decided to paint and that turned into ripping the painted wood paneling off of one wall taping and bedding it and retexturing that wall as well as another. But you couldn't retexture the wall with out scrapping the random popcorn texture that was on them so we did that also..Then we ripped out the base boards and replaced them throughout the entire house except for the bedrooms..Lastly we decided to do a makeover on our fireplace tearing out all of the wood that surrounded it. Therefore our move in ready house turned into a HUGE project that we could not have completed with out our families..It would be wrong of me to let you read the above with out mentioning one of our biggest hurdles...

Adam and I are having a BABY!! We found out about this huge blessing the day that we closed on our house. What a huge day that was for us! We closed on our house in the morning but Adam had to go into work for a few hours before..I had the whole morning off so when I woke up I decided to do a pregnancy test because I had been feeling very strange..The first one was positive, the second one was positive, and yes the third one was positive as well (I needed more reassurance than just one) I didn't want to tell Adam over the phone but I knew if I didn't tell him the first time I saw him and he found out later that I knew he would be mad..So, Adam and I had planned to meet at the bank to get the check for all of the closing costs for the house. And that is where Adam found out he was going to be a Dad, in the Wachovia parking lot. I got in the car with him, gave him the breakfast I had bought him on the way and told him the good news! He was just as shocked and excited as I was.

Since I am pregnant I was absolutely NO help in fixing up the house or even packing up our loft..I had been feeling very nauseous and sick and helped do very little. Luckily our families were all willing to jump in and help out..

I am feeling munch better now, today I am 10 weeks along..I still have my good and bad days but hopefully with in the next few weeks I will have more energy and be less nauseous. Our Baby is due November 12th. We are very Excited and can't wait for our Journey ahead!

Here are a few Pictures of our work on the house..In the move some how we miss placed our camera battery charger and haven't found it yet so we haven't been able to take the after pictures..When we find it I will post pictures of it finishes!

Our Lives

Well I figured since I read everyone else's blogs I should start one of my own. So I guess I should start by updating everyone on mine and Adam's life.

Adam and I got married in May and moved from Grand Prairie to a loft in Down Town Dallas..It was quite an adjustment but we really enjoy it here..We have had many of our memorable "Firsts" as newlyweds..Our first birthdays, holidays, and vacations as newlyweds were all very special and memorable for us. We look forward to all of the other Memories we will make together.

In November we added the fourth member to our family, Remington. (We have Alley our 6 year old beagle mix that lives with my parents until we move into a house) Remington is a precious, now 4 and a half month old yellow lab. It is funny how much she has changed our lives. We thought it would be a good idea to get our puppy while we lived in our loft since it has all wood floors and it would be "easier" to clean up accidents. Although that was a good idea, we forgot take into consideration the fact that we live on the 7th floor and that it would take about 5 minutes from the time we left our loft door until we could get down the hall, down the elevator, through another long hall and outside to let Remington go potty. Needless to say more times that not she ends up going in the elevator or in the hallway (It makes for a very uncomfortable situation when someone else is in the elevator and your dog starts to go..) but she is learning and getting better!

Despite Loving where we live now Adam and I are about to purchase our first home! We are extremely excited and nervous at the same time. The house is in Plano which is half way between mine and Adam's jobs. We can't wait to have a home to call our own and a backyard for our dogs (I know Adam will be excited at 5:15 am when he gets up to not have to take the long trip down stairs to take Remington out, it will be so nice to just open the back door!) We love the house and can't wait to move in and add our personal touches. We close on March 5th! Everything has gone smoothly so far, please pray for us that everything will continue to go smooth.

That's about all that is new in our lives right now...We will keep you updated!
